Job summary

Renault Retail Group UK Ltd is seeking a proactive IT Support Engineer to join our UK IT team. The role covers over 17 dealership locations and blends field engineering with remote helpdesk support, based from Hayes with travel across London, Home Counties and wider UK sites.

You will provide on-site hardware, software and network support, install and configure desktops, printers and IT infrastructure, and work with international teams and external suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or field engineering in a multi-site environment.
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows knowledge.
• Experience supporting end-user devices and IT infrastructure.
• Understanding of networking concepts including SD-WAN, routing, firewalls, VPNs, LAN and Wi‑Fi.
• Experience working with suppliers, service providers or project teams.
• Full UK driving licence; automatic licences considered.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA, CCNA, ITIL advantageous but not essential.
• Experience of PCI DSS, ISO 27001 or ITIL environments would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support across multiple dealerships, resolving hardware, software and end-user issues.
• Install, configure and support desktops, laptops, telephony equipment, printers, POS devices and IT infrastructure.
• Deliver a blend of field engineering and helpdesk support, managing 1st- to 3rd-line incidents across sites.
• Take ownership of local IT projects, deployments and upgrades with international teams and suppliers.
• Support network technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, LAN and Wi‑Fi.
• Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, system records, asset registers and procedures.
• Carry out system maintenance, health checks and testing activities and drive improvements.
