Job summary

Sanderson Recruitment requires a Field Services Engineer to provide on-site IT hardware support across UK sites, including Exeter. The role involves maintaining and deploying systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a personal car with business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undergo BPSS check.
• Ability to resolve hardware issues and basic software problems.
• Experience building PCs including OS setup and software deployment.
• Strong understanding of IT systems and environments.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• MCSE and vendor/server certifications are desirable.
• Experience in a data centre and smart space tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and support for field-based clients.
• Deliver on-site IT hardware support for clients.
• Cover a geographic area across the UK with average travel time ~30 minutes.
• Work to technical and quality standards and procedures.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Work standard hours Mon-Fri 9:00–17:30 with one week in four on-call
• Respond to standby and overtime per company policy.
