Job summary

National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) is seeking a Field Interviewer for Leicester. You will visit homes to conduct in-depth interviews on health, housing, transport, and daily life, guiding conversations and capturing responses with a NatCen device.

This is a travel-based, part-time role requiring a UK driving licence and reliable transport. As part of a flexible schedule, you may work evenings and weekends to accommodate participant availability, with comprehensive training provided

Qualifications

• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Minimum 20 hours availability per week.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Flexibility to work across weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Visit addresses across an assigned area to carry out in-home interviews.
• Guide conversations and record responses using the NatCen device.
• Travel within the defined fieldwork area and manage time efficiently.
• Interviews may occur in various settings and times, including evenings and weekends.
