Job summary

National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) in Canterbury is seeking a Field Interviewer to visit households and conduct in-home interviews across health, housing and transport topics. You’ll guide conversations and record experiences using a NatCen device, with full training provided and a travel-based, independent field role.

This part-time position offers travel between interviews, with typical travel times 30–60 minutes each way, mileage reimbursement and paid travel time.

Responsibilities

• Visit addresses across assigned area to carry out in-home research interviews.
• Discuss health, housing, transport and public services with participants.
• Record responses accurately using a NatCen device.
