Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Service Technician – Unitary to deliver exceptional customer service and technical support across the UK as a national role. You will service, diagnose, and repair rooftop and unitary systems on customer sites under maintenance contracts.

The role requires flexibility for travel, on-call shifts, and strong collaboration with service desk and operations to improve processes and customer experience. UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate technicians to deliver customer experiences
• Effective communication skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using Apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on projects and customer site visits.
• Attend customer sites for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), breakdowns, warranty work, hire and commissioning.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers as a trusted point of contact.
• Collaborate with Service desk, Sales and Operations to share key customer insights.
• Use cutting-edge software and tools to diagnose and repair units per engineering specs.
• Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
• Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
• Communicate updates with supervisors, regional managers and senior technicians to drive improvements.
