Job summary

Verelogic is seeking a Service & Maintenance Engineer to service fire and security systems across commercial sites in Somerset. This field-based role offers a company vehicle and on-call responsibilities, focusing on preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs to keep systems compliant.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' experience, knowledge of BS standards, and strong customer-facing skills. A UK driving licence and SV in the future are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience servicing fire and security systems.
• Experience with Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms.
• Knowledge of BS 5839, BS EN 50132, BS EN 50133, BS EN 50131.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good networking/IP basics; strong customer service.
• Full UK driving licence; ability to obtain SV (NPPV2).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on fire and security systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair to minimise downtime.
• Test and verify system performance to British Standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Complete routine testing and minor system modifications.
• Liaise with customers, explain findings and provide technical advice.
• Maintain compliance with site Health & Safety requirements and PPE.
