Job summary

Verelogic is seeking a Service & Maintenance Engineer to cover commercial and industrial sites across Manchester. This field-based role focuses on servicing, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair and minor quoted works of fire and security systems.

The successful candidate will have strong technical fault-finding skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving and outstanding customer service, with a Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience servicing fire and security systems.
• Experience with Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of BS 5839, BS EN 50132/50133/50131 standards.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good networking/IP basics and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs on fire and security systems.
• Diagnose system faults and complete effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Test and verify system performance per British Standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Complete routine testing, inspections and minor system modifications.
• Explain findings to customers and provide technical advice.
• Carry out remedial works and minor system improvements.
• Complete service reports and compliance documentation.
• Work with service coordinators and project managers to prioritise workloads.
• Maintain Health & Safety compliance and PPE standards.
• Mentor trainees and junior engineers when required.
• Participate in an on-call rota.
