Job summary

NCR Atleos in the Sheffield/Doncaster area is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to diagnose faults and repair ATM modules on-site across the region. You will install, maintain and repair equipment, take ownership of incidents, and ensure SLAs are met.

The role requires a full UK driving license, strong IT/PC hardware knowledge, and the ability to work independently with great customer-facing skills. A company vehicle is provided with fuel card and weekend rota.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving license is required.
• Strong local geographical knowledge is essential.
• Experience in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair is expected.
• Basic computer hardware and software knowledge is required.
• Experience with Windows operating systems is preferred.
• Experience in general PC hardware and software maintenance is desirable.
• High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude is important.
• PIA licences are helpful and may be provided if not held.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills are required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform under pressure.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose faults and perform repair or replacement of ATM modules on-site
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment within an assigned territory/region
• Take ownership of customer issues or incidents, ensuring satisfaction and compliance with Service Level Agreements
• Carry out work with adherence to the Health & Safety Policy
• Role may involve prolonged travel, lifting and carrying toolkits/parts of varying weights, and bending, squatting, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods
• Full training and equipment provided.
• Company vehicle available for personal use (fuel card included; BIK and mileage usage fee per mile apply)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Full UK manual driving license
• Strong local geographical knowledge
• Experience in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair
• Basic computer hardware and software knowledge
• Experience with Windows operating systems
• Experience in general PC hardware and software maintenance
• High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude
• PIA licences desirable, but if you don't hold one, it will be provided
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer facing relationship skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving skills, quick learner, and capable of performing well under pressure

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT ESSENTIAL):

• NCR/Wincor ATMs experience
• Previous Field Based experience
• Previous Engineering experience

PLEASE NOTE:

All successful candidates will need to provide a traceable work and education history, complete a criminal record and credit background check.

• £31,000 - £33,000 depending on experience
• Personal use of the company vehicle (fuel card provided; BIK and usage fee per mile applies)
• 42.5-hour contract with weekend work on rota basis; 5 days over 7 (8.5 hours + 30 minutes brake)
