Job summary

NCR Atleos in the Sheffield/Doncaster area is looking for a Field Service Engineer to diagnose, repair, and replace ATM modules on-site across the region.

You will install and maintain equipment, take ownership of customer issues, and ensure SLA compliance while adhering to health and safety policies.

The role offers full training, a company vehicle for personal use, and a 42.5-hour week with rota weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have valid full UK manual driving license.
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good local geographical knowledge and field service aptitude.

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Sheffield/Doncaster area - Field Work

Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 depending on experience

Hours: 42.5 per week across 5days with weekend work on rota basis

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose faults and perform repair or replacement of ATM modules on-site
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment within an assigned territory/region
• Take ownership of customer issues or incidents, ensuring satisfaction and compliance with Service Level Agreements
• Carry out work with adherence to the Health & Safety Policy
• Role may involve prolonged travel, lifting and carrying toolkits/parts of varying weights, and bending, squatting, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods
• Full training and equipment provided. Company vehicle available for personal use (fuel card included; BIK and mileage usage fee per mile apply)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Full UK manual driving license
• Strong local geographical knowledge
• Experience in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair
• Basic computer hardware and software knowledge
• Experience with Windows operating systems
• Experience in general PC hardware and software maintenance
• High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude
• PIA licences desirable, but if you don't hold one, it will be provided
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer facing relationship skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving skills, quick learner, and capable of performing well under pressure

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT ESSENTIAL):

• NCR/Wincor ATMs experience Previous Field Based experience Previous Engineering experience

• £31,000 - £33,000 depending on experience
• Personal use of the company vehicle (fuel card provided; BIK and usage fee per mile applies)
• 42.5-hour contract with weekend work on rota basis; 5 days over 7 (8.5 hours + 30 minutes brake)
