Job summary

NCR Atleos is hiring a Field Service Engineer to diagnose faults, repair ATM modules on-site, and maintain equipment within an assigned Lincoln area territory. The role requires extensive travel, adherence to safety policies, and customer-facing interaction. Full training is provided, with a company vehicle and fuel card included.

Hours are 42.5 per week across five days, with weekend work on a rota basis. Competitive salary and benefits accompany the position, reflecting London-area market

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual driving license required.
• Strong local geographical knowledge.
• Experience in break/fix, IT, computer or mechanical repair.
• Basic hardware and software knowledge.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair or replace ATM modules on-site.
• Install, maintain and repair equipment within assigned territory.
• Take ownership of customer issues, ensuring satisfaction and SLA compliance.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policy during all tasks.
• Expect prolonged travel and manual handling of tools and parts.
• Full training and equipment provided; company vehicle with fuel card (BIK and mileage rules apply).

• Job Title: Field Service Engineer
• Location: Lincoln area – Field Work
• Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 depending on experience

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose faults and perform repair or replacement of ATM modules on-site
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment within an assigned territory/region
• Take ownership of customer issues or incidents, ensuring satisfaction and compliance with Service Level Agreements
• Carry out work with adherence to the Health & Safety Policy
• Role may involve prolonged travel, lifting and carrying toolkits/parts of varying weights, and bending, squatting, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods
• Full training and equipment provided. Company vehicle available for personal use (fuel card included; BIK and mileage usage fee per mile apply)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Full UK manual driving license

• Strong local geographical knowledge

• Experience in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair

• Basic computer hardware and software knowledge

• Experience with Windows operating systems

• Experience in general PC hardware and software maintenance

• High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude

• PIA licences desirable, but if you don’t hold one, it will be provided

• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer facing relationship skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving skills, quick learner, and capable of performing well under pressure

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT ESSENTIAL):

• NCR/Wincor ATMs experience Previous Field Based experience Previous Engineering experience

• £31,000 - £33,000 depending on experience

• 42.5-hour contract with weekend work on rota basis; 5 days over 7 (8.5 hours + 30 minutes brake)
