Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water keeps 3 million people healthy by delivering safe, reliable water and treating wastewater before returning it to rivers and seas. The Maintenance Technician role focuses on electrical-biased field activities, preventative maintenance, and reacting to failures across the area.

You will work in a team, investigate plant faults, and perform planned maintenance on assets, while adhering to health and safety procedures and company standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 electrical apprenticeship or City & Guilds equivalent.
• Full driving licence and the ability to work in a team.
• Experience analysing information to spot potential problems.
• Compliance with health & safety procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work on planned activities for assets, including improvement projects and preventative maintenance.
• Investigate plant failures and perform scheduled maintenance to minimise breakdowns.
• Carry out installations, refurbishments and assist with commissioning to specification.
• Audit spares and materials and order items via supervisor or supplier.
• Follow health & safety procedures and maintain duty of care.
• Update information in IT systems daily and liaise with contractors on capital schemes.
• Organise own time with minimal supervision and undertake other duties as required.
