Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking a Maintenance Technician (electrical bias) for a field-based, site-facing role in Hereford. You will join a team performing planned maintenance, improvements, and incident response across Welsh Water assets.

The role includes 260 hours of planned time, on-call standby, and a company vehicle. Ideal candidates hold an NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or City & Guilds equivalent, with a recognised electrical apprenticeship, a full driving licence, and strong

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised electrical apprenticeship and NVQ/City & Guilds equivalent.
• Proven ability to work in a team and meet deadlines in a field role.
• Able to communicate well and solve problems; build internal networks.
• Familiar with Microsoft software and field IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Work in a field-based team on planned maintenance and improvements for Welsh Water assets.
• Investigate plant failures and perform scheduled maintenance to minimise breakdowns.
• Carry out refurbishments and assist with commissioning equipment to spec and on time.
• Audit spares and order items; follow health & safety procedures.
