Job summary

National Grid is seeking an Electricity Distribution Network First Responder based at our Nottingham depot. You will be the frontline engineer, often the first point of contact for customers, providing solutions and an excellent on-site experience.

You will handle issues like loss of supply, safety concerns on the network, asset inspections, and meter isolator switches, working 37 hours weekly with standby duties possible to cover 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical installation for domestic & commercial properties.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Evidence of qualifications on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of National Grid onsite, delivering solutions and excellent customer experience.
• Respond to faults and safety concerns, restore supply, inspect assets or operate switches as needed.
• Work 37 hours per week with potential standby duties to cover 24/7.
