Job summary

Electricity Distribution Network First Responder role based at our Alfreton depot in the East Midlands. You will be the frontline engineer restoring supplies, working solo and representing National Grid on site to deliver exceptional customer service.

You must hold a Level 2 Electrical qualification, a full UK driving licence is essential, and there may be standby duties to cover 24/7 business needs. DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Level 2 Electrical qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Evidence of qualifications will be required on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Restore electricity supplies for customers as the first responder.
• Work alone and be the onsite face of National Grid.
• Resolve issues such as loss of supply, safety concerns, asset inspections or meter isolator switches.
• Potential standby duties to provide 24/7 coverage.
