Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution in Nottingham is seeking an Electricity Distribution Network First Responder based at our depot.

You will work 37 hours per week, respond to outages, provide on-site customer service, and perform safety checks. A UK Level 2 electrical qualification and a valid driving licence are essential, with a company vehicle provided.

There may be standby duties for 24/7 coverage and opportunities to broaden duties to HV switching as skills permit.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience with strong communication skills.
• Understanding of ESQCR and Electricity at Work Regulations.
• Health and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Restore electricity supplies for customers and resolve outages.
• Assess safety concerns on the network and perform asset inspections.
• Interact with customers on-site to provide a high-quality service.
• Possibly undertake standby duties for 24/7 coverage.
• May broaden duties to switching at HV if trained.
