ARX Robotics seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to own the integration of Mithra OS onto customer vehicles. Initially hands-on across mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces, you will drive feasibility, integration, testing and field deployment, then scale by building a capable team.

You will define processes, establish safety and quality standards, and collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to ensure robust, mission-ready integrations while growing the team and technical foundations.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands‑on Engineering Manager to own the integration of Mithra OS onto customer vehicles. Mithra is our ARX Software Stack that transforms legacy fleets with AI-driven autonomy and standardized software, ensuring seamless integration and unmatched adaptability for complex missions. You will initially act as the technical owner and primary integration engineer, personally carrying out feasibility studies, system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and field deployment. As the function grows, you will build and lead a team while remaining closely involved in the most challenging technical work.

This is not a coordination‑only or purely people‑management role. In the early phase, you will be expected to do the integration work directly, make technical decisions, investigate problems at system level, and deliver working vehicle integrations with limited support. Over time, you will scale your impact by building a strong team, establishing repeatable processes, and creating reusable technical foundations for future customer platforms.

What You’ll Own and Deliver

• Personally lead and execute vehicle integrations of Mithra OS onto customer platforms, taking hands‑on responsibility for the technical work across mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces.
• Own the integration from initial assessment through field deployment, including vehicle and system analysis, interface definition, architecture, configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, verification, and acceptance.
• Conduct and document technical feasibility studies, gathering the necessary evidence, identifying technical risks and dependencies, and making clear, data‑driven recommendations on whether and how an integration should proceed.
• Design, implement, and debug vehicle integration solutions across hardware and software domains. This includes working directly with vehicle systems, onboard computers, sensors, actuators, networks, power systems, and relevant mechanical interfaces.
• Develop and execute rigorous integration and test plans, progressing from bench testing and hardware‑in‑the‑loop activities through vehicle‑level testing and live field trials. You will personally participate in testing, fault investigation, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Build reusable engineering capabilities, including integration tools, software libraries, test utilities, configuration assets, interface specifications, and technical documentation that make future vehicle integrations faster, safer, and more reliable.
• Establish practical integration processes and engineering standards covering requirements, interface control, configuration management, verification evidence, change control, issue resolution, and technical decision‑making.
• Ensure that every integration is safe, robust, serviceable, and mission‑ready, identifying and addressing weaknesses before deployment and maintaining a high standard of engineering quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Work directly with vehicle OEMs, suppliers, and specialist contractors to clarify interfaces, resolve technical issues, review proposed solutions, and ensure that external contributions meet the required technical and safety standards.
• Build and grow the vehicle integration team over time. Initially, you will operate as the primary hands‑on integration engineer and technical owner. As the team expands, you will recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, while continuing to remain technically engaged in the most complex integration challenges.
• Translate field and customer requirements into executable engineering work, balancing technical performance, safety, schedule, maintainability, cost, and integration risk.

What You Bring

• A proven track record of leading, managing, and mentoring engineering teams in a robotics, automotive, or complex systems environment.
• Significant technical experience in vehicle systems integration, with a deep understanding of the challenges across software, electrical, and mechanical domains.
• Significant experience in drive‑by‑wire, vehicle motion control and interfaces, autonomy, platform and electrical architecture alongside network and connectivity.
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining engineering talent, with a passion for building high‑performing, collaborative teams.
• Exceptional engineering judgment and the ability to make critical decisions on technical strategy, architecture, and risk management.
• The ability to inspire and guide a cross‑disciplinary team, fostering a clear sense of purpose and a high standard of execution.
• Strong strategic and communication skills, with experience managing relationships with external partners like OEMs and suppliers.
• A deep, hands‑on technical background that provides you with the credibility to guide senior engineers through their toughest challenges.
