Job summary

Vodafone is seeking a Field Technician based in Inverness to join our Field Engineering team. This role involves installation activities at core and customer sites, supporting engineers, and maintaining safety standards.

The position requires climbing readiness, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work in varied conditions. You’ll join a busy telecommunications field team offering full-time hours, a competitive package, and opportunities to develop in 5G and advanced network

Qualifications

• Formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience.
• Hands on experience of telecoms technologies including DWDM, Ethernet, fibre/copper cabling.
• Ability to work solo or in a team, with strong IT literacy and driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install activities in support of Vodafone Field Engineering on core and customer sites.
• Provide support to Field Engineers and develop skillset.
• Carry out safety health assessments and regular climbing activities as required.
• Adhere to quality and H&S standards and meet performance targets.
• Be flexible with working hours and travel as needed; may include out-of-hours rota.
• Work outdoors, rooftop access and be physically active throughout the day.
