Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a field-based Home Manager to oversee care homes in England in the absence of Home Manager or Deputy. You will ensure high-quality care, oversee medication administration, liaise with healthcare professionals and local authorities, and support recruitment and care planning.

You’ll travel between up to 27 locations, work across weekends and nights as needed, hold NVQ4 in Health and Social Care or Leadership, and maintain the highest CQC standards while supporting

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management for Care Services or equivalent
• Previous experience of working with a large multi-site Care Provider within a capacity of a high Level Manager
• Experience of working within the Regulatory Framework specific to Care Homes
• Excellent knowledge of the CQC standards
• Work flexibly across homes,weekends, overnights near homes, and frequent travel to all 27 locations as required – a full, clean UK driving licence is mandatory.
• Commitment to top care standards for older people.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a stimulated, caring environment prioritising resident health, safety, and welfare.
• Ensure sufficient staffing, complete care plans, and uphold property standards.
• Manage administration, petty cash, incident reporting, and staff attendance systems.
• Facilitate staff meetings, supervisions, and training; support fire safety and disciplinary processes.
• Promote Greensleeves values of respect, openness, and responsibility.
