Job summary

Nacro is seeking a Sessional Housing Support Worker to assist with housing applications, tenancy sustainment and independence support in Wrexham/Flintshire. The role requires regular travel, a full driving license and vehicle access with business insurance, and an Enhanced DBS plus HMPPS check.

The post involves close collaboration with probation services and housing providers to ensure safe, compliant support for service users. It is part of CAS-2, serving communities across England and Wales.

Responsibilities

• Support Service Users: Assess needs, create personalised support plans, assist with housing applications and rent payments.
• Property Management: Ensure properties meet Decent Homes Standard and address maintenance issues.
• Collaboration: Work with probation services, court staff, housing providers and other agencies.
• Tenancy & Independence Support: Help service users develop life skills and move to independent living.
• Risk & Safeguarding: Identify safeguarding concerns and tenancy risks, document actions.
• Record Keeping & Compliance: Maintain accurate records and support delivery per requirements.
