RE Personnel is recruiting a commercially minded Business Development Manager for our client in the manufacturing and engineering sector, based in Tewkesbury. The role is full-time and permanent, with travel across the UK and 1 day per week onsite at the Tewkesbury location.

You will identify opportunities, win new business and grow existing accounts, leveraging an engineering or manufacturing background and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Proven strong sales and business development background.
• Experience identifying opportunities, winning new business and growing accounts.
• Engineering/manufacturing background or experience selling technical products/services in B2B.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities via outbound calls, networking and targeted activity.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers; understand requirements for future projects.
• Work with customers to interpret technical requirements and project specs to identify solutions.
• Manage full BD process from initial contact to quotes, securing projects and ongoing relationships.
• Attend customer meetings across the UK, face to face and via Teams to develop opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on pipeline progress.
• Represent the business at exhibitions and industry events; build a professional network.
