Job summary

Calor Gas Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Gas Engineer (Mains & Services) based in Kings Lynn. Salary £29,725-£35,000 per annum. You will assist the Gas Network/Service Engineer to install, replace and maintain underground pipework at customer premises and on public highways.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a team, provide strong customer service, and manage priorities under tight schedules. Travel and PPE compliance are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
• Must be eligible to work unrestricted in the UK.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Be flexible and willing to travel.
• Have strong customer services skills.
• Be an organised individual.
• Ideally hold a EUSR SHEA Gas safety qualification.
• Ideally hold a NRSWA certificate for operatives.
• Ideally Hold a NPORS plant operators qualification.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE.
• Assist the Gas Network/Service Engineer with all aspects of the role.
• Domestic & Commercial site work including installations, replacement and maintenance of underground pipe work.
• Manual handling.
• Operating Pneumatic tooling in a safe manner.
• Use mechanical excavators.
• Use of breathing apparatus.
• Travel will be required as part of the role.
