Job summary

Calor Gas Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Gas Engineer (Mains & Services) to assist the Gas Network/Service Engineer with installing, replacing and maintaining underground pipework at customers’ premises and along public highways in the Bromsgrove area.

This field-based role requires a full UK driving licence, flexibility to travel, and experience in a similar job. Ideal candidates may hold EUSR SHEA Gas, NRSWA operatives, and NPORS plant operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operating Pneumatic tooling in a safe manner
• Use mechanical excavators
• Use of breathing apparatus
• Travel will be required as part of the role.

Assistant Gas Engineer (Mains & Services)

Field Based - Bromsgrove area

Salary £29,725-£35,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Gas Engineer who will play a vital role in assisting the Gas Network/Service Engineer to install, replace and maintain underground pipework and associated equipment at customer's premises and public highways.

The Ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and possess strong customer service skills. They will also be able to prioritise well and work to tight schedules.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE
• Assist the Gas Network/Service Engineer with all aspects of the role
• Domestic & Commercial site work including installations, replacement and maintenance of underground pipe work.
• Manual handling
• Operating Pneumatic tooling in a safe manner
• Use mechanical excavators
• Use of breathing apparatus
• Travel will be required as part of the role.
