Chandler Harris Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Area Sales Manager for a world-leading manufacturer of Material Handling Equipment. The role covers the Sheffield region, with a Field/Home based setup and a strong emphasis on new business development.

You will sell forklifts, pallet trucks, order pickers and related equipment, targeting fleets typically renting for 3–5 years. Expect around 10 meetings and 40 calls weekly, with real career progression and comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• Field sales experience is essential.
• Experience selling capital equipment on lease or rental is preferred.
• Thick-skinned, resilient with a proven sales track record.
• Driven, coachable and career-focused.

Responsibilities

• Sell the company's manufacturing range of material handling equipment.
• Field-based role covering the Sheffield region with home/field mix.
• Develop around 10 face-to-face or virtual meetings per week and ~40 prospect calls.
• 70% new business and 30% account management focus.
