Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology is seeking Experienced Archaeologists to join the Kemble team on a fixed-term six-month contract. The role involves manual excavation, recording features, artefact recovery, and data management on busy field projects across England and Wales.

Salary £28,532 - £29,255 per year, with away work including accommodation. Applicants should have CSCS or be willing to pass the CITB HS&E test; 30 days leave; 37.5-hour week; closing date 23 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of archaeological practice and field methods.
• Experience in commercial archaeology.
• Ability to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Undertake archaeological field investigations, including manual excavation and data collection.
• Record data using pro-forma sheets, drawings and photographs.
• Recover artefacts and samples following CA procedures.
