Cotswold Archaeology is seeking enthusiastic Archaeologists and Trainees for projects around Andover, with some roles away and accommodation provided. The team will work on field investigations, recording data and artefact recovery.
The role requires practical experience in commercial archaeology, ability to perform stratigraphic recordings and drawings, and willingness to travel as needed. Immediate start dates are available.
Qualifikationen
- Experience in commercial archaeology and field recording.
- Ability to complete stratigraphic matrices and measured drawings.
- Familiarity with GPS surveying is desirable.
- UK right to work and live is required.
Aufgaben
- Assist in fieldwork including fieldwalking, evaluation, excavation, finds processing, data entry and archiving.
- Record investigation data using pro-forma sheets, scales, drawings and photos.
- Recover artefacts and environmental samples following CA procedures.
- Carry out manual excavation of features with a range of tools.
- Maintain accurate administrative records and support Trainee Archaeologists.
- Adhere to CA Health and Safety policies.
