Job summary

Redline Group is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join a specialist technology business in Crawley, West Sussex. The role is customer-facing, supporting evaluation, onboarding, integration and production readiness for embedded computing platforms.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows and Linux, develop integration tools and scripts, and collaborate with Software, Firmware and Product teams to improve customer experience and platform adoption.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Experience with embedded systems or hardware/software integration.
• Programming or scripting ability (e.g., C, C++, Python).
• Familiarity with interfaces and protocols (USB, serial, TCP/IP, PCIe, GPIO).
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking across internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers through evaluation, onboarding, integration and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across platforms.
• Develop integration tools and scripts and create technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Software, Firmware, FPGA and Product teams to improve tools and experience.
• Deliver workshops and product demonstrations.
