Job summary

Kinara Group is seeking an Account Manager for Laboratory Automation to cover Cambridge, East Anglia, and the East Midlands. The role focuses on selling laboratory automation solutions across pharma, biotech, academia, and NHS laboratories, building relationships with scientists and procurement teams.

You will manage existing accounts and develop new business, coordinating demonstrations and proposals while traveling within the territory. A strong sales background in lab automation is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in scientific instrumentation, laboratory automation or capital equipment sales.
• Experience managing a territory and developing new business.
• Comfortable managing technical sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships with laboratory managers, scientists and procurement teams.
• Strong communication and commercial skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop customer relationships across the territory.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic and clinical laboratories.
• Sell laboratory automation, liquid handling and detection systems.
• Manage technical, high-value capital equipment sales with longer sales cycles.
• Work closely with applications specialists and technical teams to develop solutions around customer requirements.
• Deliver product presentations, coordinate demonstrations and manage customer proposals.
• Build and maintain a sales pipeline, from initial prospecting through to closing.
