Job summary

Pine Media, a Sheffield-based full‑fibre ISP, is seeking an experienced L2C engineer to join our Service Delivery team. You’ll handle installs at the point of customer contact, ensuring high standards and reliable handovers to customers in their homes.

Ideal candidates are independent, meticulous, and capable of clear communication with customers and colleagues. The role is field-based, with travels within an hour of Sheffield, and offers a van, tool kit and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience in a similar L2C role.
• Full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months.
• Physically fit for manual handling work.
• Fusion splicing experience.
• Experience working on the Openreach network.

Responsibilities

• Install overhead and underground drops from the CBT to an external CSP.
• Run internal cable from the CSP to the customer’s chosen ONT location.
• Splice the drop to the internal cable inside the CSP, and test at each stage.
• Follow Openreach labelling requirements at entry and exit points, and photograph your work for records.
• Manage your own daily workload, keep to appointment times, and flag issues early.
• Look after your van and tools in line with the policy.
• Support FND team with overhead cabling, CBT installs and new fibre in MDUs and across the network when required.
