Job summary

Dales Community Care, Skipton, is seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage a team of Care Assistants and deliver direct care for 20 hours per week in Skipton and surrounding areas. As part of the role you will supervise inductions, coaching, training, and quality assurance while ensuring safeguarding, care plans, and CQC standards are met.

A full UK driving licence is required. We offer £15.60 per hour plus paid mileage, a funded DBS, training and development, pension, and employee benefits

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
• Experience in a senior care or supervisory role (Team Leader, Senior Carer, or similar).
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience coaching or supporting care staff.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding, medication management, and CQC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and motivate a team of Care Assistants.

• Deliver and coordinate mandatory training and refresher sessions.

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Team Leader to join our Skipton team. This full-time role combines 20 hours per week undertaking Team Leader responsibilities and 20 hours per week delivering direct care and support to clients across Skipton and the surrounding areas.

You will play a key role in supporting and developing care staff, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring our clients receive safe, effective, and person-centred support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example while remaining actively involved in care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience in a Senior Carer, Team Leader, Care Coordinator, or similar supervisory role.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting care staff.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, medication management, and CQC requirements.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK.
