Job Title: Female Support Worker (Female only qualifies under Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act)

Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Additional Information
  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities or in a similar care setting.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence essential – you will be required to drive mobility vehicles.

  • Ability to work flexibly across long shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep‑ins.

Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, support with leisure, employment, individual interests, and travel. This can be a fun and rewarding but also at times challenging and demanding role. You may be supporting people in their own home or out and about in their community. Using a person-centred approach, you will empower people with a learning disability to live the lives they choose.

  • No previous experience or qualifications required as full training will be provided, however, unless specified otherwise.
  • You must be comfortable with lone working & supporting individuals with Mental Health Needs.
  • Compassionate, Caring and Confident.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑starter, with a high level of motivation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional.
  • Keenness to learn in a fast‑paced environment and creatively solve problems.
