Job summary

Potens Group is seeking a Female Support Worker to join our Birkenhead service. The role involves 1-1 support, promoting wellbeing, and helping residents with daily living in a busy residential setting.

We offer a broad benefits package, including a contributory pension, 24 hours weekly, and NVQ training from level 2 to 5 in Health & Social Care. There is no visa sponsorship for this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care or support work is essential.
  • Able to work independently, multitask and prioritise to support people.
  • Shifts can include weekends.

  • NVQ in Health & Social Care levels 2–5 preferred or achieved.

Job description

We are looking for a Female Support worker to join our Service in Birkenhead.

What you’ll be doing
  • The people we support are adults who may have learning disabilities, behaviours that are challenging, and/or mental health needs.
  • Support 1-1 and continue to promote positive well-being.
  • Participate and be as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.
  • Maintain and develop their community links, as well as accessing community and leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills.
  • This is within a busy, vibrant residential service.
Who you are
  • Able to work independently, multitask, organise and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
  • Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
  • Willing to be flexible as shifts can include weekends.
  • Experience in care or support work is essential.
  • Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
  • Quick learner, hands-on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities.
