Shaftesbury Independent Living in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a care worker to provide two-to-one support for a young man with complex needs. You will follow his support plan, assist with personal care and medication, and maintain detailed records. The role includes sleep-in shifts and occasional holidays.

Applicants must have PBS experience, a full UK driving licence with no endorsements, and be female, as per the service requirements. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience with PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) plans is required.
• Experience in complex care settings is preferred.

This bank post sits in the Complex Care Service at Shaftesbury North East, part of Shaftesbury Independent Living, and is open to female applicants only. The core work is two-to-one support for a young man with complex needs, following his support plan, helping with personal care and medication, and keeping records. The role also covers sleep-in shifts and planning trips, including holidays, using the person's car.
