Job summary

Shaftesbury is seeking an Enabling Support Worker to assist one woman in living well at home and in the community. You will follow her personal plan, assist with daily tasks, meals, shopping, appointments, and activities, and maintain records.

The role includes some personal care and medication support, with day and night shifts on a 2:1 rota and paid sleep-in shifts. DBS check required; female applicants only.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS or Access NI check.
• Female applicants only due to service requirements.
• Driving is a nice-to-have (not required).

Responsibilities

• Support her to live at home and in the community, promoting independence and safety.
• Follow her personalised support plan and keep her home tidy.
• Plan and cook meals in line with SALT plans.
• Go on shopping trips and accompany medical appointments.
• Plan local activities and social connections; keep accurate records.
• Provide personal care or medication support when needed.
• Work day shifts (8am–8pm) and waking nights (8pm–8am) on a 2:1 rota; cover sleep-ins (£60 per session).

Enabling Support Worker post in Shaftesbury's adult disability services, supporting one woman to live well at home and in the community. The role is 2:1 and runs across day shifts and waking nights, with optional paid sleep-in shifts. Only female candidates are being considered, and visa sponsorship is not available.
