Benenden Health is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer on a 9-month fixed-term contract in York. The role combines risk-based compliance advisory work with ownership of core activities such as monitoring, regulatory support, policy maintenance and reporting.

Ideal candidates will have strong experience in an FCA-regulated environment with ICOBS knowledge and a practical, hands-on approach. You’ll support multiple projects, build credibility quickly and work collaboratively within a small

• Experience in FCA-regulated financial services.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations and ICOBS knowledge.
• Experience with compliance monitoring, controls testing, QA or audits.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and communicate findings.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across the business.
• ICA qualification (or path toward) is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day compliance advice to colleagues and support business activities.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement changes.
• Review financial promotions and customer communications for regulatory compliance.
• Deliver monitoring, controls testing, thematic reviews and file sampling.
• Support risk assessments and wider compliance assurance activities.
• Produce compliance reports and governance reporting for committees.
• Build stakeholder relationships to strengthen compliance processes and outcomes.
