Job summary

Harrison Holgate is recruiting a Compliance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract in London. The role supports the General Counsel and Head of Legal and Compliance to manage the organisation’s compliance framework and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will lead monitoring, regulatory advice, and the implementation of regulatory change, with responsibility for financial crime, data protection and policy development in a hybrid London market setting.

Qualifications

• Strong FCA and insurance regulatory knowledge.
• Experience in insurance broking, MGA, delegated authority or financial services compliance.
• London Market insurance experience would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of AML, sanctions, KYC, financial crime, conduct risk and data protection.
• Experience drafting policies, procedures, regulatory submissions and compliance reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the compliance monitoring programme and framework.
• Provide regulatory advice and guidance to the business.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation of regulatory change.
• Oversee financial crime compliance, including AML, sanctions, KYC, ABC and fraud prevention.
• Support regulatory submissions, notifications and interactions with regulators.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and maintain risk registers.
• Support compliance projects, including GDPR, policy reviews and regulatory change.
• Investigate compliance incidents, breaches and complaints and oversee remediation.
• Support compliance training and awareness programmes.
• Prepare MI and reports for senior management, risk committees and boards.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.

Harrison Holgate is working with a specialist insurance business to recruit a Compliance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a broad and hands-on compliance role, supporting the General Counsel, Head of Legal and Compliance in managing the organisation’s compliance framework and ensuring adherence to regulatory, legal and internal policy requirements.

The Role

• Maintain and develop the compliance monitoring programme and framework.
• Provide regulatory advice and guidance to the business.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation of regulatory change.
• Oversee financial crime compliance, including AML, sanctions, KYC, ABC and fraud prevention.

• Experience within insurance broking, MGA, delegated authority or financial services compliance.
• Strong understanding of AML, sanctions, KYC, financial crime, conduct risk and data protection.
• London Market insurance experience would be advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience drafting policies, procedures, regulatory submissions and compliance reports.
