Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Family Support Worker to ensure family time is facilitated safely and regularly. You will maintain risk assessments, transport children as needed, and liaise with social workers and other professionals to support the child’s best interests.

You will hold a regular caseload and produce detailed reports of interactions and care witnessed, adapting to changing circumstances while prioritising safeguarding and the child’s needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge around safeguarding and actions to take.
• Ability to produce detailed recordings/reports of interactions and care witnessed.
• Experience liaising with social workers and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family time in a regular and safe environment.
• Maintain and update risk assessments in partnership with your manager.
• Transport children to and from carers (may be outside Warwickshire).
• Attend family time review meetings and liaise with social workers.
• Produce recordings and reports of interactions and care witnessed.
