Are you a Family Support Worker who is looking for a move into a progressive and forward-thinking authority, or an experienced worker with a background in supporting children and their families?
We are seeking to appoint Family Support Workers across our Childrens Social Care teams to help us deliver our vision for children and families. Our goal is to make Cheshire East a great place for young people, where they are well-supported to maximize their life chances, thrive in our care, stay safe from harm or abuse, access outstanding education, and feel prepared for adulthood.

As a Family Support Worker, you will collaborate with Social Workers and multi-agency partners to support children, young people, and their families or carers. You will help identify needs, support care navigation, maintain family connections, and assist with assessments.
You should have a strong understanding of the challenges facing children and families, a proven record of partnership and direct work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support families in crisis. Training on the Signs of Safety model will be provided.
