BC Cancer – Surrey is looking for a family physician to work part-time or full-time within the Gynecological Oncology Department as a General Practitioner in Oncology (GPO). The GPO works collaboratively with Medical Oncologists and other medical specialists, nurses, and clerical staff in an interdisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include ambulatory care of patients on therapy and follow-up, with some inpatient care support. There is no on-call requirement for this role.
The Surrey Centre offers comprehensive services in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and support services such as Nutrition, Clinical Trials, and Patient & Family Counseling. Located 30 km from downtown Vancouver, Surrey provides access to the vibrant cultural and recreational activities of the Greater Vancouver area.
Join our dynamic healthcare team in British Columbia and enjoy the West Coast lifestyle. To qualify, you must be licensed as a family physician in BC and meet the criteria for appointment with the BC Cancer Agency and Surrey Memorial Hospital. Inpatient and oncology experience are assets but not required; the department will support development of necessary expertise. No previous oncology experience is necessary.
