Role and Facility Information

Fraser Health Department of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services has opportunities for physicians to join our team! Several opportunities throughout the region are available as a result of Fraser Health’s rapidly expanding addiction services. We are a close-knit, collaborative, and friendly group of providers who genuinely enjoy the work that we do. There are various opportunities to join our team with different time commitments, including full-time, part-time, and occasional roles.

1. Creekside Withdrawal Management Centre: Location - Surrey
2. Addiction Medicine Consult Teams: hospital-based consult service. Location: Multiple sites
3. Fraser North RAAC (Rapid Access to Addiction Care) clinic: outpatient clinic. Locum position starting immediately. Location: New Westminster, BC.
4. Fraser East RAAC clinic: outpatient clinic. Starting immediately. Locations: Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack.
5. Roshni Clinic: outpatient addiction clinic serving patients of the South Asian diaspora.

Qualifications

We seek physicians who demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for providing low barrier and equitable access to evidence-based and evidence-informed addiction medicine services. We are open to providing additional mentorship for physicians who may require further support.

The candidate must hold an active license with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC. Previous experience in addiction medicine is an asset. ISAM or ABAM certification or CCFP(AM) are beneficial but not mandatory.
