Job summary

Ceredigion County Council is seeking a proactive Family Information Service Officer to lead the delivery and development of the Family Information Service across the county. The role involves coordinating services, informing families about childcare, education, health and community resources, and supporting Welsh Government-funded childcare expansion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver Ceredigion’s Family Information Service.
• Work collaboratively with other Local Authority departments and organisations to ensure a wide range of information is available to families.
• Respond to enquiries from parents, carers, professionals and partner organisations.
• Develop and share information about childcare, family support and community services.
• Manage information published through the Family Information Service website and the Dewis Cymru platform.
• Promote funded childcare programmes and support families to access the services best suited to their needs.
• Support statutory duties and contribute to strategic planning activities, including childcare sufficiency work.
• Monitor service performance and produce reports and information to support service development.
