Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is recruiting a Family Worker to join the Parenting and Family Support Team. The role supports provision of services across locations directed by the Parenting and Family Support Manager, with a focus on equitable access for children and adults.

The successful candidate will work to safeguard children and vulnerable adults, uphold rights, and benefit from ongoing training opportunities within the council.

• DBS check required (Enhanced DBS).
• Commitment to safeguarding and to protecting children and vulnerable adults.
• Ability to work inclusively and respectfully with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the provision of Parenting and Family Support services.
• Work in a variety of locations as directed by the Parenting and Family Support Manager.
• Promote equity of access and opportunity for adults and children.

• Engage in safeguarding processes and DBS checks as required.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual who is seeking a career in our Parenting and Family Support Team as a Family Worker.

This is an exciting time to join the Parenting and Family Support Team as we continue to expand The Through Age Wellbeing Integrated Services Model.

The post holder will assist in the provision of Parenting and Family Support services.

The successful candidate will assist in providing Parenting and Family Support services in a variety of locations as directed by the Parenting and Family Support Manager.

The successful candidate will ensure that equity of access and opportunity for adults and children is promoted.

They will also ensure all work is carried out with a commitment to children’s rights and have an understanding of the value of play in children’s lives.
