Job summary

BCP Council is inviting applications for the Best Start Capital Programme Officer role, a 30-hour per week fixed term post until 31 October 2027. Based in the Family Hub network, you will coordinate capital projects across sites to create welcoming, accessible spaces for children aged 0-5 and their families.

You will work with Family Hub teams, Property Services and contractors to monitor progress, manage documentation and support delivery from planning through to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting programmes, projects or service improvement activities, maintaining records and monitoring progress.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of partners and to build positive working relationships.
• Organised and proactive with strong coordination and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development activities for capital projects across Family Hub and network site locations (refurbishment, accessibility, environmental enhancements, branding, site improvements).
• Work with Family Hub teams, Property Services, contractors and partners to ensure developments are organised, monitored and delivered.
• Support two initial hubs and contribute to wider expansion of Family Hub and Network Site provision across the BCP area.
