Job summary

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster is seeking a Parish Formation and Pastoral Assistant for St Mary Magdalen, Whetstone. This part-time role (20 hours per week) pays £17 per hour and closes on 8 December. You will support faith formation, family outreach, and parish life under the parish priest.

You will help coordinate events, communications, safeguarding, and a welcoming church environment, working with staff, clergy, and volunteers to nurture a faith-filled community.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enjoys working with children, young people, families and volunteers.
• Capable of working as part of a team and using initiative.

Responsibilities

• Develop opportunities for children and young people to grow in their faith and participate in parish life.
• Foster positive relationships with young people, parents, catechists, volunteers and parishioners.
• Support parish events, formation programmes, and pastoral outreach.
