Job summary

Diocese of Westminster invites applications for a part-time Cleaner / Housekeeper at Garston Parish, Watford. This role supports clergy accommodation and parish facilities, maintaining a welcoming environment for clergy, parishioners, visitors, and community groups.

The successful candidate will clean and maintain accommodation and offices, carry out laundry, replenish supplies, and perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Able to maintain high cleaning standards and presentation.
• Reliable with good time management and organisational skills.
• Respect for the Diocese values and diversity.
• Flexible with hours; early mornings or after 4pm as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain clergy accommodation and communal living areas.
• Carry out laundry for resident clergy.
• Clean parish offices, meeting spaces, waiting areas and kitchens.
• Ensure Parish Centre is kept to a high standard.
• Replenish consumables and monitor stock levels.
• Undertake periodic deep-cleaning tasks.
