Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Factory Methods to define future production approaches and build the engineering capability needed for production readiness. The role reports to the Senior Manager – Manufacturing Methods and involves leading manufacturing methods across modules and pipework, coordinating with engineering and supply chain, and growing the team.

Hybrid work from Derby, Manchester or Warrington is offered with supplier travel.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in manufacturing engineering within regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Experience with complex manufacturing process development.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Industrialisation and Design for Manufacture (DfM) expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and governance across manufacturing methods development activities covering modules and pipework.
• Establish manufacturing strategy and production methodologies.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, supply chain and factory design teams.
• Build organisational capability and support future team growth.
