Job summary

Oh Polly in Bromborough is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Manager with day-to-day maintenance, safety and upkeep of the building and warehouse. It is a practical, hands-on role covering reactive repairs and routine inspections.

You will be the on-site contact for facilities matters when the Facilities Manager is unavailable, and you should be reliable, proactive and safety-conscious with the ability to escalate issues to contractors when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous practical maintenance or repair experience.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
• Full UK driving licence (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Carry out general reactive repairs, including plumbing and joinery.
• Complete weekly fire safety checks and maintain records.
• Support planned maintenance and liaise with contractors.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure clean, safe conditions.
• Act as on-site contact in Facilities Manager's absence.
