Job summary

Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proactive Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join a well-established engineering manufacturer in the UK. Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm with flexible start/finish times, offering a salary of £30,000–£32,000 plus a production bonus and a strong benefits package.

You will be part of a small maintenance team, helping keep a modern facility safe, efficient and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance across commercial, industrial, manufacturing or domestic environments.
• Strong hands-on DIY and building maintenance abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general building and facilities maintenance tasks.
• Complete repairs to the building, fixtures and site infrastructure.
• Perform routine inspections across the factory and grounds.
• Respond to day-to-day maintenance issues.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and improvement projects.
• Liaise with external contractors as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and compliant working environment.
• Support maintenance activities at nearby company sites when required.

Working as part of a small, friendly maintenance team, you'll help keep a modern manufacturing facility operating safely and efficiently, carrying out a wide range of building maintenance, repairs and site improvements. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone with general maintenance experience looking to develop their skills.
