Job summary

TEC Partners Limited is seeking a Facilities Technician for a site in New Malden. This permanent, full-time role focuses on supporting maintenance, safety, and improvements to ensure a functional working environment for on-site teams.

The successful candidate will perform hands-on tasks across plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and repairs, while coordinating with contractors and suppliers and assisting with office moves and waste management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a facilities, handyman, or building maintenance role.
• Hands-on skills in plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and general repair.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Fluent in written and spoken English with a strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager with the upkeep and improvement of the site.
• Undertake general maintenance and repair tasks, including basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating.
• Conduct routine and reactive inspections of building systems and equipment.
• Respond to day-to-day maintenance issues such as lighting, leaks, and urgent minor repairs.
• Supervise and escort contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with site policies.
• Support office moves, furniture assembly, and layout changes.
• Oversee cleaning standards and support waste management, recycling, and safe disposal of materials.
• Carry out grounds maintenance, including gardening, landscaping, and seasonal tasks such as gritting or leaf clearance.
• Monitor stock levels for tools, consumables, and supplies.
• Contribute to site improvement initiatives.
