Job summary

Oh Polly in Bromborough is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Manager with daily maintenance, safety and upkeep of the building and warehouse. This hands-on role handles reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and routine compliance checks on site.

You will be reliable, proactive and safety-conscious, able to prioritise tasks and escalate issues to the Facilities Manager or approved contractors.

Qualifications

Previous practical maintenance or repair experience.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to follow maintenance procedures and safe systems of work.
Basic plumbing, joinery, painting or decorating experience.
Experience with machinery or hydraulic equipment.
Experience with PPM, fire safety or water hygiene checks.

Responsibilities

Carry out reactive repairs and general maintenance of building and warehouse.
Perform planned preventative maintenance and inspections, including fire safety checks.
Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment and ensure clean, safe working environments.
Liaise with approved contractors and report defects to the Facilities Manager.
Maintain records of repairs and inspections.
Support health and safety policies and wear PPE.
