Kent Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Facilities Team Leader (Soft Services) to manage a busy Property Services function. You will lead a multi-site cleaning operation, run the helpdesk, and oversee contracts, audits, and budget control across diverse sites.

A full driving licence and multi-site facilities experience are essential. The role includes travel around the county one to two days a week and occasional out-of-hours work, with a strong emphasis on high-quality service delivery and

Qualifications

• Experience delivering facilities management across a multi-site portfolio.
• Previous use of CAFM software.
• Experience leading a team.
• Understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Run the Property Services helpdesk, including CAFM system management.
• Line-manage a Helpdesk Officer and a remote cleaning team.
• Plan and coordinate deep-clean activities across sites.
• Manage service provider contracts and ensure SLAs/KPIs.
• Conduct site audits and keep asset data accurate.
• Assist with procurement, tender specs, pricing and bid evaluation.
• Monitor budgets and reconcile contractor spend annually.
• Oversee equipment, furniture and supplies.
• Support Facilities Manager with planned, reactive and compliance works.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain team morale.
